Great pictures, Linda. Yes I finally saw them!
Barbara, I'm glad you're taking it easy today. The heat, at least here is miserable. 97° when I was out earlier.
R managed to fall last night. He took some leftovers out of the microwave - hotter than anticipated so quickly put them on the table then somehow lost his balance. I heard a this and got up to investigate when Griff came tearing out of the kitchen to get me. R said he landed on his shoulder- left of course. We got him up and I have him some Motrin. He's ok today.
I finished mowing late morning before it reached 90. R tried to persuade me to hold a ladder while he climbed up to put in a new bracket for his USMC flag. Nope. Not going to happen. Reminded him the doctor said he didn't trust him not to try to fix things and did he really want to explain to him why he messed up the surgery.
Linda, last overseas trip I ordered something from Magellan's (i think) called No Jet Lag and it worked. I cannot sleep on the plane. Our first overseas trip the time change really affected me.
I wonder if "Chatty" is one of those people nervous about flying so covers it up by talking, talking, talking.
I decided to donate the jackets. If they're too big I won't wear them. Now to bag them up and get them out of the house.

Good morning..it is much cooler (70) and rainy..so the ac is off..I much prefer fresh air and the house open. I picked up a few groceries after I dropped sydnie at school.
Pepper goes to the groomer in a bit...she has so much hair ,mini schnauzers don’t have fur that she was pretty hot this weekend.
I am am going to have a lot of people here for our anniversary..no one is staying here, but I need to figure out meals for around 25....think I will do some easy serve stuff?lasagna from Costco, tacos in a bag, salads, .my brothers wives, who are like sisters to me both know that I am having some physical, difficulties and said they will help...and my girls and dil are al so big helps ...so no stress...don’t believe that. L.ol
Linda..I am still shaking my head about your chatty seat mate. Glad you are over your jet lag. And it sounds as if Dh is perking up..hope you can get him to eat more. Glad your lunch buddy is back.
Sydnie spent hours this weekend working on a science project..she is very meticulous in what she does and turns out amazing work.
Claudia..yikes to r falling..and the same to him going on a ladder..v is smart enough not to do that anymore. Hope our cooler weather heads your way.
Have a good day.🍄🍄🌼

Good Morning/Afternoon! Should reach 100 degrees here today, so I am glad I got my walk in early. If all goes well, I will go to the pool this afternoon.
R on a ladder -- I don't think so..... I remember DH was always trying to get up on the roof -- it is a one-story house, but I did not approve. So, he managed to get up there when I was out. Yikes. I hope R doesn't fall again, and he listens to you, Claudia. I looked up that product, and I think it would be great for overseas travel, but perhaps too much for my trips. I would like to travel overseas some day, but not now because of DH. You may be correct about "chatty" being nervous about flying. Years ago on a business trip one of my colleague was very nervous about flying and we managed to sit next to a lady who was the same. Between the two, I thought I would lose it. The funny thing is that my colleague went home on a different plane, and others told me she was fine about flying.
I imagine Syd's science project is great, Barbara. Hope you can feel a little less stressed about your anniversary celebration. Like you said, there will be lots of eager helpers, and they know about your physical limitations. Keep reminding yourself that they really want to help, and this is a time for you and V to celebrate, not stress. The caregiver told me that DH is eating very well for her, so I don't know why he isn't doing so for me. I'll try again at lunch today.
Hope both of you have a nice day!
Hugs,
Linda

Try not to stress,Barbara. Yes, I know it's almost impossible not to. I'm very glad you'll have lots of help.
Syd is multi talented. I'm sure the project will be geat.
It was about 10° cooler today and windy. I expected it to rain but it hasn't yet. I made a trip to the vet for a bag of Pippen's special food then a quick stop at Wegman's.
Linda, I hope your DH are better for you today. At least seems to be eating well for some of the caregivers.
Barbara, R is just stubborn ( wants to do what he wants to do when he wants to do it). This time though he's listening to me. He doesn't want to chance explaining to the doctor that he tried to do something he shouldn't. Lol.

Good afternoon..it is humid here but there is a breeze and I have the ceiling fan on. Got back from knitting a little while ago..No window washing to day because rain is threatening. We will be working a bit this weekend.
i decided to get our meals from Costco for next weekend...it will be much easier for me that way. Had a good discussion with my knitting colleagues about food.
Linda, hope your lunch is nice..and that Dh is better today. When I was able to do my big walks..I always went early in the morning..before the heat set in.
+Claudia, glad r is listening to you. I really am looking forward to next weekend...
hope you both both have a good rest of your day. 🌸🌸

Glad that you are comfortable about your decision, Barbara. I think COSTCO meals are a great idea. Imagine you enjoyed your knitting today.
Good that R is listening to you, Claudia. I guess the doctor has emphasized the need for him to take things easy. Hope things are going okay there today.
The meal/outing was okay. I wasn't too impressed by the food, but the prices were reasonable. The ladies I rode with were old friends (or at least good friends), and I didn't feel that included in their discussions or those at the restaurant. But, I did hear some interesting stories about RV living, etc. Most of the ladies seem to be very happy with living here -- plenty to do, nice people, etc. But, there is always room for improvement.
I will be going to visit DH in a little while, and I hope he is a little more "with it" today. DD is suffering from a migraine, but the rest of the family is doing okay.
Hope both of you sleep well.
Hugs,
Linda

Getting the food from Costco is an excellent idea, Barbara. The least amount of work for you so you can enjoy the celebration.
Linda, I hope your DH is more "with it" today. Too bad about the outing. It's difficult to be a newer participant when everyone knows each other.
Again the dogs are very grateful for ac. It has rained off and on. R is "down in the dumps" fearing the wrist is not healing as it should. I told him to keep using the bone stimulator and wait for the surgeon's appointment on the 12th. No sense borrowing trouble. I think part of it is the death of another high school friend. It was a small class. I'm guessing 40 at the most and this year is their 50th year.
I have a load of laundry to put in the dryer and clothes to put away. If I don't immediately put the clothes away certain young cats will tip the hamper and spread the clothes onto the floor.
Sleep well.

Good afternoon..thank you for the anniversary greetings..hard to believe that many years have gone by. It i is a remarkable achievement. Only my moms parents and one of her sisters celebrated a 50th. And vs parents did also.
Sydnie is looking forward to the hibachi grill tonight. It can be an entertaining experience if we have a good chef.
i am not doing much today so I can enjoy this evening..
Linda. Sorry that your luncheon was not that enjoyable...but at least you learned about ra living. Hope Dh is perkier today...that is such a difficult thing to have to deal with.but it sounds as if your caregivers group is pretty supportive.
Claudia, one of my friends in Az broke her wrist..she had to have 2 surgeries , a bone stimulator and months of pt. It took over 2 years fro it heal. So for some, it does take more time.
Enjoy your day.🌻🌻

Yes it's quite a remarkable achievement, Barbara especially in today's world.. My parents and my maternal grandparents had their 50th. My late aunt and uncle would have had their 60th. I recall R's great aunt and uncle who helped raise him had their 50th. Enjoy the celebration and Happy Birthday to M.

Congratulations again, Barbara. My parents made it to their 50th, but I don't think any of my other relatives made it that long -- either one died or they divorced. Happy Birthday to M, and enjoy the restaurant. I have been to that type of restaurant several times (in DC/Maryland), and enjoyed them.
Sorry R, is down, Claudia. It seems that things take a lot longer to heal than I expect. the hospice nurse told me that she was happy that DH heel had healed so quickly, and I thought it was a long time (more than a month.) And, it is sobering when your classmates from high school pass away. I was pretty upset at the number of deaths when my 50th reunion came around.
DH was doing very well both yesterday and today. He is still not eating all his food, but he was smiling and had his eyes open most of the time.
Hope both of you sleep well.
Hugs,
Linda
