Happy you like the shoes, Barbara. I'm dressed like you today -- not very warm and not sunny here. When I went to the gym, I saw people in the pool -- heated, but outdoors. I think some people are just better with the cold. Hope M remembers to close the door so the toilet paper isn't wasted.
Your weather doesn't sound nice, Claudia. I'm definitely not a fan of ice.
The dinner last night was quite elaborate -- lots of courses, special china and silverware, etc. Really a huge effort for the hostess. My neighbor is an Austrian post-war bride, age 87, and her daughter is a couple of years younger than me. Her daughter and husband and her lady friend (about her age and also European), were nice. I'm not fond of her male friend (about the same age) -- kind of a curmudgeon type. And, while she was getting dinner ready, they talked politics -- I said nothing since they had views pretty much opposite of mine. I was there nearly four hours, and came home to a message that DH had fallen. He was not injured, but was anxious, etc.
I decided to visit him this morning before going to the gym, and he was not in good shape. No bruises or anything, but he could not walk and he was talking a lot, but making no sense. That continued after I returned after the gym to feed him lunch.
The caregiver told me that he was talking in Turkish to her, and he has done that to me as well. Very confused guy. To top it off, Larry came over and started talking his nonsense to DH (almost funny if it weren't so sad.)
Anyway, I will return in a little while to visit and feed him dinner.
DD took youngest DGS back to college, and it took her seven 1/2 plus hours to make it to and from -- rain, accidents, traffic, etc. She was pretty worn out when I talked to her.
I'm trying to do a little house cleaning, and I guess I better get back to that.
Hope both of you sleep well.
Hugs,
Linda
