Re: REFORMED SHOPAHOLICS. Week of February 14

Sorry about the flare, Barbara.  Glad you don't need to wait too long for your infusion.  Good news about Syd.  I am afraid the dance studio people have blown it, but I guess it is just too difficult to deal with that crazy dance Mom's -- yikes.

What a shame you got up so early only to have the appointment canceled Claudia.  But, ice driving is not safe.  I hope you do get to bed early.  Happy that Adam will be staying with his sister until he gets things settled.

DH was pretty out of it last night and this morning.  When I went to bed, he asked me if it was time to get up.  Then, he managed to get up multiple times last night, and was very confused this morning.  I have no idea how that happened.  Anyway, I think he did okay at the day services center, but he was looking out the window and jumped up the minute I came there.  He wasn't unhappy, which is good.  He had lots of difficulty getting in and out of the car, but did agree to go for a short walk in the park.  We ran into a lady from day services and her husband and little dog -- very cute -- 5 pounds.

DH has been sleeping most of the time since we got home.

I took a nice walk this morning, and class was good.  Then I went swimming and ran into a couple of friends there.

DD said they got back DGS and my SIL's cars yesterday afternoon.  Expensive car repairs lately.  She and my DGD had their hair cut today, and she was happy.

My quiche is cooking slowly, but hopefully dinner won't be too late.

Hope both of you sleep well.

Hugs,

Linda

Re: REFORMED SHOPAHOLICS. Week of February 14

This was bridge morning...it was ok but I am still not feeling well...I should have stayed home. I plan on doing noting this afternoon.

We we need to replace our washer...it has been making awful noises on some of the cycles and the repairman yesterday suggested replacing. I am going to look for a very basic top loader...don't need a lot of bells and whistles on it. There is always something.

Linda, I think the confusion goes with part of the disease. It sounds like he is up and down a lot at night.  I hope you are getting enough rest.

sydnie remarked yesterday tat thecdance mom carries drama in her purse.,that was very perceptive on her part.

Claudia..I think you are at the va today.

linda, good that dd got the car repairs completed.

enjoy your day.

Re: REFORMED SHOPAHOLICS. Week of February 14

Good Afternoon/Evening!  Sorry you were in pain today, Barbara.  DD had a migraine, and she said she tried to do as much as possible in the morning/early afternoon so she could rest later.  Sorry about your washer.

Nurse is here.  I will try to post later.

Re: REFORMED SHOPAHOLICS. Week of February 14

No VA trip today. R left for his rendezvous. The packing and loading up is always much drama.  I ended up going to the Verizon store for a replacement car charger for his cellphone.

Today I'll take it easy then tomorrow start getting things done. At least that's my plan. R's consult with a specialist over the emg results is finally set for mid March.

I hope you can take it easy the rest of the day, Barbara. I think it's a good idea to go with a basic washer and skip all the bells and whistles.

Sydnie certainly has dance moms number.

Linda, the confusion is pretty typical. I'm sorry DH was up several times during the night. I hope you can get enough sleep. Oh those expensive car repairs. Hopefully there will be no more needed for a while.

Quiche is a favorite of mine.

Re: REFORMED SHOPAHOLICS. Week of February 14

The nurses visit went okay, no big changes with DH.  He did suggest that I buy him some prune juice, and he will order a higher dose of his sleeping pill.

Glad you were able to get that car charger, Claudia and R finally has a consult appointment.  Good idea to take it a little easy today.

Hope both of you sleep well.

Hugs,

Linda

Re: REFORMED SHOPAHOLICS. Week of February 14

I hope the change in DH's meds help him sleep at night, Linda. Enjoy your class.

Since the weather was good though cold and windy I grocery shopped and recycled the cans and bottles. Tomorrow I'll stop at the post office then pick up dog food. I did clear the top of the dog crate this morning. Still have the table and sun porch to do.

That was a good buy on the pjs Barbara. I hope the first meeting of your new group went well

I'm finishing up leftovers from last night. I had picked up Italian meatloaf, garlic mashed potatoes, and salad at a local Italian foods and market.

Re: REFORMED SHOPAHOLICS. Week of February 14

Good Evening!  Hope you had plenty of takers for your new group, Barbara.  I'm liking the caregiver -- she only comes for 30 minutes three days a week.  And, I still spend time getting him and his clothes ready.  But, she is a very nice lady, and I'm happy to have someone else give him a bath, brush his teeth, and dress him.

It was cooler and cloudy here today, but still nice.

Your leftovers sound good, Claudia.  I asked, and DD said that they still have piles of snow around.  Wonder how long before it melts.  Tomorrow is their wedding anniversary, and oldest DGS is taking the Army guy to Reserves, which is nice.  She said Army guy has lost a lot of weight in addition to working out.  So hopefully, he will pass the PT test.

Today was a bit upsetting for me.  When I dropped off DH, the head of day services asked to talk to me.  He cannot eat on his own, and they do not provide "feeding" service.  He does fine with candy, but.... I was concerned that they would not want him to come any more, but she said he could do so as long as I brought him a lunch (finger foods).  DD gave me several suggestions, and I picked up some after I got him from day services.  On top of that, he had an accident today, and they told me that I need to bring a change of pants and underwear when he goes next week.

Thank goodness they will still take him.  I don't know what I would do if he could not go there.

Class was good, and I did my gym workout -- very crowded there, but I did all the machines.

Hope both of you sleep well.

Hugs,

Linda

Re: REFORMED SHOPAHOLICS. Week of February 14

OH Linda, my dear, what a time you are having with dh. I think the finger foods are excellent but with those lunch packs, everything sticks together and the are hard to handle at times,  it is worth a try. I know I asked before, but are you starting to explore memory care options. I know my sil reached a point where day care did not work.,my bil had a spot reserved for her...it took over a year to get her in. I know his family wants you to keep him at home, but that may not be the best for you. I am getting very concerned about all the stress you are under. Maybe the hospice nurse or chaplain could help you with ideas.

souns as ig dgs is in great shape for his pt test.

We found a decent washer at a good price. It will be delivered on Wednesday. I could only eat half my lunch so I am not cooking for dinner.

M had a good talk with one of the owners. They are very aware of what is going on and told her to give Syd a lot of praise. I hope it settled her down.

they are meeting Pepper for the first time.,I posted more pics on FB.

Claudia hope you continue to get stuff accomplished.

I am am going to the pool for a while.

more later
