Re: RE: Asymmetrical and sharkbite hemlines ?

I will wear what I have bought. I haven't bought any shark bite hems, just assymetrical or hi-low. I think I am done with these. Lately, in LOGO, I have been purchasing anything that is a straight hem like her tank. The last non-straight hem top I bought was by Lisa Rinna as I liked it on her. And I do like it on me as it is flowy.

But the hi-low hem G.I.L.I. sleeveless top that Lisa is showing to purchase with the TSV jacket is a pass for me.

I absolutely can't stand asymmetrical and shark bite hemlines. i don't know why I find them so unclassy. I do like high low hems though, but not the ones that are super long in the back. I always donate clothes that are no longer in fashion

I'm rather short and wide anyway, and I find that very few of these hemlines look good on me. I think I have one, which I rarely wear.

Re: RE: Asymmetrical and sharkbite hemlines ?

Actually, that's one reason why I limit my purchases of this particular style. If the asymetrical hem, sharkbite hem trend suddenly ends, I don't want to be left with a wardrobe full of that style. I don't wear trends that are obviously dated. On the other hand, it's been with us for several years now (Lori was not the first designer and she did not invent it) and it shows no signs of ending any time soon.

Yes, I will continue to wear them, and I think that they will become more popular over the next year or so.

I have never allowed trends to dictate what I wear, if I like it I'll buy/wear it! ~ I see many designers are now showing this style, so they are most definitely popular. I'm a firm believer in "wear what YOU are comfortable wearing"!

I don't wear sharkbite hems now so no worries for me; I have some asymmetrical hems on a few tops I will continue to wear...but I don't wear any LOGO.....don't care for it at all.

We can always have them evened out (or up, down, and sideways). Wink

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

True this style has been around since dirt but the Logo brand is not good- it looks sloppy and makes one look dumpy unless you are tall and very thin, but if you have hips then look out- for forever and ever fashion always taught never to have things hanging out the bottom of sweaters, jackets etc- dressing for comfort and look classy all at the sametime is the way to go

Re: RE: Asymmetrical and sharkbite hemlines ?

I like the look only when the back hem is longer or slightly even with the front. (Not short-short in back and 'way too long' in the front). Update: Watched today a LC show featuring a sweater/cardi: 'Way too long' in front and short-short in back.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).
