Question on Knit Tank & Skirt

The navy color of the new knit tank (A252353) and upcoming matching knit skirt (A252354) is listed as "Indigo" by QVC. Louis calls it "true Linea Navy" on his website. Do you think it will be the real Linea Navy or a little lighter in color as the Q's name suggests? I am hoping that it will be the true Linea Navy so it will match many other things in my Linea collections (especially my peplum jacket).

Re: Question on Knit Tank & Skirt

I have the tank. I also have the peplum jacket. It will be dark out when I get home but I will take a look and give it my best shot.

QBH, I was wondering about this also and saw that someone has asked Louis about the indigo on his blog, but he hasn't answered. I hope it's just an error on QVC's part.

Re: Question on Knit Tank & Skirt

I think Louis's own description on his website should answer your question:

The last color I am offering to you in the RAYON /SPAN JERSEY KNIT TANK, A252353 & SKIRT, A252354 is……………NAVY………………LINEA NAVY………… You know by know I like MY NAVY to be dark….a true MENSWEAR NAVY….a SAILOR NAVY…..not blue…not royal, but an INK NAVY. For me there is only one TRUE NAVY….and this is it….all others are wannabees………………………………………………………………………….I do want to express, though I am showing for the most part the skirt and tank together, that these pieces are true SEPARATES, and as separates, will give you the most wear for your dollar. You really can’t do better than this LINEA NAVY TANK with my LINED IVORY CREPE pants, coming in April, any my new GOLD PALM FROND NECKLACE!………WOW…..Throw on the matching IVORY CREPE BLAZER and you will look like you spent THOUSANDS! The CREPE JACKET over the NAVY TANK and SKIRT can take you to any semi formal affair…………TIMELESS, SIMPLE, CHIC, ELEGANT………………..LINEA……………………………………………………………..

…………………………………………………………………………………..enjoy………………..much Love………………………Louis

Hope that helps. I wouldn't worry about what the Q calls it. Go see the pictures on his website

Re: Question on Knit Tank & Skirt

OK, I looked at the peplum jacket and the tank together and right now I say no. It could be just because they are different fabrics but the tank looks a little more purple next to the ponte. I need to look in better lighting, but unless it looks different in day light, I would not wear them together. I would use the ivory peplum instead. I will take another look tomorrow. To be continued.....

Re: Question on Knit Tank & Skirt

Sincere thanks to all the Linea Ladies for all your help. I guess we will just have to take a gamble on the color. Maybe Louis will have a minute to address that question on his blog. He will notice it for sure when they present the item on air. He is very astute to errors with his collections. He is very proud of his ""Linea Navy"" and sure won't be thrilled that the Q called it ""Indigo"". Thanks again!

That tells me it is about not being able to match the color perfectly when they're in different fabrics. Louis has spoken about this several times.

I like it when the fabric textures are very different. But when the fabric textures are similar, it looks like I tried but got it wrong.

Great -- I'm going to order -- can't wait for the skirt too! That way, even if the tank can't mix with other pieces, at least we know the skirt will.
