Ladies, I'm having difficulty finding straight leg or skinny jeans to fit my pear shape. I'm 5'2" and weigh 112. I'd like to find jeans that have a slightly higher waist in the back so I don't have that awful gap at the back, if you know what I mean.

Recommendations? Help please!

Re: Question for Pear shapes

NYDJs. They fit curves and offer petite sizing.

Another less expensive option is Macy's Style & Co. Very similar type of jeans.

While they are still in business you can try Coldwater Creek Knit Jeans. Same kind of curvy fit but the material is much stretchier. Not really denim but even more comfy.

I like all of these I've recommended but my favorites are the first two. I am a pear shape too.

By the way, all of these are higher-waisted, not low-cut at all.

Re: Question for Pear shapes

Levi's Curvy Straight-Leg Jeans Petite

Levi's Skinny Jeans Petite

Levi's Mid-Rise Skinny Jeans (SHORT inseam)

Each has a mid rise, so you're set as far as the back goes.

Kohls.com has all three, possibly in their stores too. Just go to their website to double-check. You could also do what I did, which was use Google to get more information.

Although I'm not petite (at 5'8"), I'm a long-time, pear-shaped Levi's lover. 8)

Re: Question for Pear shapes

Im built the same and 5'4" barely and have found Macys Inc brand fits me really well. They have many styles: skinny, straight, boot and also have a curvy style which comes up higher in the back than their regular fit. Sometimes they have Shorts in stock but you can order the Shorts online which is what I do. Very comfortable and not expensive. Runs

I was also going to suggest Coldwater Creek - might find a good deal since they going out of business. I also would suggest Charter Club at Macy's. My store had some slim fit jeans in petite sizes just last week. I am not petite but I am pear shaped, and I bought a regular length pair. They do come up to a more modest level in the front and the back.

Silver Jeans (made by Levi) in the Suki style. They have great skinny jeans -- only ones that fit my body. Also a straight version.

Coldwater Creek is going out of business so don't get too attached.

I am a pear shape and my advice would be to find a good tailor. I am used to having to have my jeans and pants altered in the waist.

NYDJ, Seven7 (not Seven for All Mankind) some places to find them are at Macy's and Layne B. Also try DG2, (HSN) they allow for a waist, yet keep the fit in the legs slim.

NYDJ try 6 PM.com they have them on sale for $40-$80

Re: Question for Pear shapes

Ann Taylor Curvy-cut pants and jeans fit my pear shape very well. However, most must be ordered online, as they are generally not available in the stores.

I find DG2 jeans are designed for apple shaped women. They are (proportionately) huge in the waist and narrow in the thighs. I'm a pear and have a narrow waist and am wider in the thigh area.
