QVC's St Patrick's Day schedule & Irish sweaters...

[ Edited ]

I'm unsure if there are any shows with Jane Treacy.& Stephen Walsh together.

This is the program line up (EST) for QVC's regular channel this year:

1-3am - Kristine Zell

4-6am - Anthony Heywood

9-11am - Rachel Boesing

4-6pm - MaryBeth Roe

As for QVC2, it shows several hours of the St Patrick's Day celebration, but some shows don't have the host name and the rest are all with Mary Nelson. So I'm guessing possible errors. Also take into consideration that some of those shows might be repeats too.

Now, as for the Irish sweaters, I don't know if Aran or Kilronan will be bringing any new, however I have seen many on clearance and 'as is'! Additionally, sizes and colors are becoming VERY limited. So if there were any you had your eye on or were on your wishlist, it would be a good time to consider before they are gone. Rarely does anything that has reached clearance on the Q ever comes back.

I mention this because since I have lost weight I was lucky to have been able to replace 2 of my Irish sweaters with a smaller size. Thankfully the sweaters are forgiving (fit wise) and only 2 were too big for me to wear anymore even though I dropped nearly 3 dress sizes. The others I can layer nicely with long sleeve tops.

This was just a HU for those interested Smiley Happy

Say it isn’t so 😲 It would not be a St. Patrick’s Day celebration on QVC without Jane. Was this the programming schedule on the main channel? I’m hoping perhaps that there is additional Irish programming on Q2 that day. I can say that the Irish merchandise offerings seem to have dwindled down over the past few years. I have better luck finding Irish merchandise on the internet these days.

I actually wish that they would group fashion, jewelry, etc on one on their channels and devote the other channel to home and garden/lifestyle related offerings. Sure would be less confusing. A girl can dream....

@Maltichonmom17   OMG! I totally forgot to check the Q2 line-up...yyym0945.gif

I'll edit my OP for Q2 programming, but there seems to be some errors. No doubt there might be a show or two that is a repeat from regular QVC, and most of the shows are with Mary Nelson...too many in fact, so maybe a couple of hours are with Jane. I guess we'll just have to wait.

The program guide I am looking at is on this site...drop down menu top-right at 'Shop QVC TV'.

I always watch the shows (kinda entertaining/background noise).

But I do have (I think) 3 or 4 of those sweaters.  I've never been cold enough to wear them.

OK, so I'm going to be honest here.  One was so big I actually washed it so it would shrink and it did!

I still haven't worn any of them.  I've given them to a few friends and my daughter liked her (although I haven't seen her wear it...come to think of it).

I just watched the video for a Kilronan sweater (A92282) and I'm loving the perfect shade of green! Smiley Very Happy

I agree completely about their sizing.  It's the same old show year after year selling overpriced, same designs year after year.

I'll pass....

If you want a genuine Irish sweater - Google and go directly to an Irish website and buy any style - any color - at big savings.  Bought mine for $85 while Q offers them for $150 or so.  Same thing - hand made - Merl ? wool - men's and women's styles.

@fthunt  That info will be helpful for some folks. You are correct that QVC isn't the only retailer that sells 'genuine' Irish sweaters online.

I have browsed several of those sites over the years and it just winds up being I love particular styles of the Irish sweaters sold on QVC much better. I also usually check the 'as is' and put items on my wish list for free S&H days or sale/clearance pricing too.

The 3 styles that I have and are my favorites are:

A259709 - I have 2 in colors not available anymore in my new smaller size..so I feel fortunate I got the navy & pink from several years ago and they still fit good/forgiving sizing after losing lots of weight!

A275981 - Recently I was lucky and got replacements of both the parsnip and soft grey in a smaller size.

A218915 - I also have a couple of this long cardigan/coat style (natural & sunlight yellow) from several years ago that have slit pockets and a hood...love them!

If a sweater has pockets, I prefer slit pockets over the square pouch style pockets.

As for pricing, one of the sweaters I got recently was at the 'as is' price ($83)! It was in it's original bag that was never opened...A298024

For those interested, A275981 has just been restocked with plum...also navy and natural have been added.

I found a video that shows the plum color...gorgeous!

I just looked at the schedule.  Jane Treacy will be on the night before - March 16th at 9 pm EST for the QVC2 Big Deal St. Patrick's Celebration.  They did most of the Irish stuff last year on QVC2 as well.  The Big Deal last year was a claddagh ring.
