I ordered ACT flouride rinse from Amazon in November and they sent me ACT flouride mouthwash instead.

Even robots can get it wrong ;o)

Re: QVC Ordering, Quality Control Issues-- AGAIN!

I haven't read anything about the Q's warehouses, but the articles I've seen recently about other huge warehouses and how the warehouses employees are treated make me wonder why we ever get anything we order.

That said, last week I got my Orthaheel TSV less than 24 hours after its supposed Advance Sale date which surprised me - and I got my SG TSV (far better in person than on the screen!) before it was promised even though the initial tracking info was sending it to the wrong state.

Putting in my first Amazon Prime order today and I'm really curious to see how well that works.

I agree. I have no doubt whatsoever, that these people make very little money & that those warehouses are probably understaffed to keep costs down.

Re: QVC Ordering, Quality Control Issues-- AGAIN!

Sorry to hear about your troubles. While on the topic of ordering, I want to add QVC's waitlist process to the mix. After ordering the WK turtleneck in charcoal, I learned that it's something scheduled for next fall. By that time, my waitlist order will have been dropped and I'll have to order again. Ordering Linea from QVC can be a hassle.

Almost all product warehouses work the same way. Product is put in a slot (space) that has a slot number...say x123. An order comes for say A345678 and the computer says it's in slot x123. The person (or robot) then goes to slot x123 to get the item. The warehouses that employ real people also time these people on how fast they can 'pick' the item.

Mistakes happen because of human error. Even w/ robotics, if anywhere the product number/slot number are not entered correctly...the wrong item is sent to the customer. No where along the process does the person/robot picking the item actually know/care what the item is...they only care that it was an item in a specific slot.

The large A warehouses are not all robotic. And many of the employees work in horrendous conditions w/ very little pay. Yes they have jobs...but it's not a job I would want to 'have' to do. I don't think I could work where the internal room temp is above 80 or 90 degrees for days/weeks at a time. Maybe that's just me.

Re: QVC Ordering, Quality Control Issues-- AGAIN!

Is this a Linea only phenomenon? Unless it's the same star employee repeatedly assigned to pull Linea orders then I have no explanation.

Granted I don't order a lot from the Q and even less is clothing.but I've never received a wrong item in the few years that I've been ordering from them....

I did get a wrong color once from evine but it was a cooking implement and not an article of clothing so it really didn't matter.....
