Unless you are a super model, the job doesn't pay that much ,so you have to work a lot and all kind of hours and also be able to travel. I think some of the QVC models also have other jobs that are not in modeling.

As others have pointed out, many people work varied shifts--without the perks models often get.

I think the big plus working for the Q is that you can age way past where most models would be no longer wanted, also you can look very average looking and even become over weight like blond Carrie) and still model. Most of the QVC models are not models that would be used in high fashion industry....maybe two of them could cross over..Katia and the Tall willowy red head. Even at that, they are too old. So it is a good secure job for models.

None of them ever look tired or worn out, which is a plus. I'm thinking that they live or stay nearby, so they can take naps, etc. Also, they can exercise, or whatever models do in- between shows. Anyway, QVC models are the best on/in TV shopping, IMO. And working on TV is probably very desirable for their resumes. Think of all of the TV air time they have accumulated......something that most of the other models in the world aren't able to have. They truly are 'celebrities' in their own right.

I know, I don't know how they do it. I don't know how they can function on such little sleep. Jackie and Monica are ones that I notice on at midnight and when I get up at 5:30 a.m. they are there again. I am exhausted just staying up to watch and they have already been up and working.

p.s. The jewelry models must have a lot of patience, standing there for two or more hours. I prefer to see them sitting on a plush or elegant chair. At least for part of their shift.

I have nothing but admiration for the models. They not only have to work those hours and look good doing it. Beyond me.

At least their huge salaries match any krap they might have to deal with. But actually, some of them enjoy it, so that's cool.

You see them like now and if it was Monday see the same group on pm style and threw out the day. They are always smiling.

I think that you mean, "throughout" and not "threw out"- I don't believe that the models have been "thrown" in the trash!

QVC offers great perks; 30-40% off merchandise, on-site dry cleaning, gym, etc... Probably, not a bad place to work!
