Looks like according to Louis' blog folks are having problems with the gold plate flaking off the necklace. He's advising them to mail the necklace (at their own expense presumably) to the manufacturer to get it "fixed."

Not sure how permanent a "fix" this will be - since I thought he'd made a big point about it being plated at least twice as much as typical plated jewelry already. So will further plating help? He didn't say anything about replacing it or refunding the money. And I doubt that the Q would refund after this amount of time.

I looked at mine and it seems ok, but then I've only worn it once.

So now I'm wondering how long this "fix" will be in effect and just what I have to look forward to with this.
