Not being able to marry the man you love is sad. She was a heavy cigarette smoker and suffered respiratory health issues which I believe shortened her life. I recall seeing a picture of her posed in the bathtub wearing a tiara. She must have had a sense of humor like her sister.

I remember reading an article in Weekly Reader in second grade about her engagement. I always  thought she was so pretty.

Quite stunning.  Looks like it yellowed over time and had been white with pink trim.

her life was sad because her sister the Queen wouldn’t let her marry the man she loved because he was divorced.  Times sure have changed.

I usually don't say anything it sounds so bizarre ... but my Grandmothers

sister .. my great Aunt was married to the Governor of the Bahamas and

actually entertained Princess Margaret on a visit there ... she also knew

the Duke and Duchess of Windsor .....

I know it sounds crazy but true ....

She was the prettiest of the two,had her own mind, if only the queen would had allowed her to marry her first love.
