The dress was impressive in person, and of course it was 80's style. It actually felt emotional to see it considering the sadness of her death at such a young age.
David Emanuel hosts one of those British Say Yes To The Dress shows, at least he did at one time.
I wonder if that is the same exhibit that is now in Las Vegas. It must of been quite an experience seeing the dress in person.
No it's not the same one as the one in Las Vegas. I was in Las Vegas last November for a weekend, and all the reviews say that one is a joke and a fake.
The one I saw in CT was curated and approved by her brother. There were several of her beautiful gowns and outfits, childhood items and artifacts.
I was also so fortunate to see two other exhibits in a local textile museum that included many of her beautiful gowns that had been auctioned off by Diana in that famous charity auction. The buyers loaned them to be in the traveling exhibits. They were all so beautiful in person.

I'm glad to see that the wedding gown and her other famous gowns are being preserved properly and exhibited with care. Can't imagine the Royal Family haven't given much care to the matter.

I think the "backup dress" looks like it was made from a cotton bedsheet. She really would have worn that thing??? Not at all elegant enough for a Royal Wedding.
Her original dress was beautiful and stunning for a barely-20-year-old princess. The neckline and sleeves were a bit too foo-foo for my taste, too many bows and ruffles, but she was a very young bride and because of her height I think she pulled it off well.

I saw the same exhibit, @Greeneyedlady21 . it was magnificent. I will always remember seeing her wedding gown and bursting into tears. I could not sit in the room where video was being shown of her funeral. I had such an affection for her and still do for her boys and their families.
