Prices aren't the reason I want to leave QVC behind. Shipping charges, slow shipping, crazy inventory shortages, etc. I have no quibble with the Linea prices. I just can't stand shopping at place with such puss poor customer service policies.

Linea would be more expensive if Louis were making a similar quality line for another retailer. As prices escalate across the board of consumer goods we just have to choose where we want to dispense our hard earned dollars.

I for one am being even more selective with clothing. I am walking away from even sale items in stores because I am factoring in things such as cost per wear; cost to clean; etc. If I think a lovely $30 (sale top) is going to spend more time in my closet than on me, and also requires drycleaning ($9 to $13 for a top in my neighborhood)... I'm passing it up. By contrast if a $90 top seems to be something I may wear once per week, and I can wash it at home ... I'm opting for the $90 top. That premise can be vice versa.

I have trouble checking on the tracking for my orders. It comes up saying, "there is no tracking available on this". I like to know when my orders will arrive. Smiley Sad Sorry, I know this does not pertain to price increase, but I didn't know where to slip it in. LOL!

I feel exactly the same way. QVC is the problem for all the reasons you mentioned. With QVC's President leaving, I'd hoped we see improvements. But, so far, it's the same disappointing customer service, high shipping costs, slow delivery.

Have you been in a supermarket lately? Ground beef was $7.99 a pound yesterday.

Good lord, really? Where was that? That's ridiculous! I live in Massachusetts and last time I bought, I can still get it for $2.99 a lb at my local, small grocer if I buy 3 lbs or more!

Realizing this is going to sound alarmist, I am going to apologize up front. Also, this is just anecdotal, but from what I can see from the actions of my government agency and what has occurred on the floor of the building where we lease space, things are not looking good.

I don't have to tell you that the price of many goods and services have gone up. All I can say is that some companies on our floor lived from government contracts. They gave up their space and are now working from home. As for me and my office, guess what? I just learned on Friday that we will be leaving our very nice digs for more modest surroundings. Many offices are being consolidated, with the consequence of reduced personnel. Many of us are retiring, so that helps, but the rest...

Anyway, the middle class is not faring too well lately, but I am sure you have noticed that.

And what about the building owners? They are soon to have a totally empty floor.

Are you with the COE in Seattle? Just wondering. I am, we had the entire building, and everyone on the first floor had to move up to the second or third floor due to budget cutbacks so space could be leased out to other agencies, thus saving funds...let me know, we can compare Linea items!!!

LDOlvr, I just learned yesterday from a former colleague who is now at one of my agency's offices in Arizona that this is now an across-the-board national policy for us. We are being consolidated like there is no tomorrow. And no more leasing from non-government-owned buildings.

So why aren't we consumers protesting these price hikes that are happening all around us, like people used to do. Just wondering.
