Just wanted to mention there are some great ponchos and Ruanas very affordably priced at t j maxx online.  I have ordered bags from them and have been very pleased.

Thanks, I was looking for them.  I will be taking a cruise and I would like to have something to throw on that is easy to pack and light to wear.

From what I've seen, those only look good on slender women.  Women who are heavier do not look good, it looks tent like and only enhances your weight.

I've seen some heavier women rocking ruanas, capes, and ponchos looking anything but like they are wrapped in a tent.  Maybe it's a city thing, but it seems to be the women -- regardless of height and body shape-- who wrap it seem to carry themselves in a very sophisticated confident manner.

GREAT prices and lots of selection in all the Marvelush ponchos over on ebay.Search "price plus shipping lowest first" and go crazy if you like them like I do. But my favorite ruana is from the Precious Fibers line that use to be here on Q. It's a beautiful dark lavender color and I get compliments every time I wear it. I wish they would bring this line back! It was classic.

A couple of years ago I bought a Ralph Lauren Black Label poncho at TJ Maxx for under $100.  It still had the original price tag on it--originally over $500.  There are some great bargains at TJ's.  It may take a while to find them, but worth it.
