Yes, this is 100% polyester and it is by Scotch & Soda for $165 @ Nordstrom.  There is something about this blazer that I really like and I think it could be the colors.  No, I would not pay $165 nor is this for everyone but I do like it.

Well that just screams late 60's to me.  Looks like it would be paired with wide bell bottomed jeans.

Polyester looks nice and can feel nice to the hand, but it is still plastic.  It fills our landfills and is hot and it is impossible to get stains out.  Whites yellow in no time.

I like it too!   I'm a fan of modern man-made fibers.

Poly is made from the byproducts of petroleum refining.  I guess if we all stopped fillng our gas tanks and heating our homes ... poly may go away.

And all those trees, plants and primitive beasts who gave their lives so that we could have gasoline died in vain!

I love a good polyester or poly blend, particularly over any kind of rayon.

I retired from an oil refinery.

I dislike polyester and avoid garments made with a high percentage of it.  If it has come far, it hasn't come far enough.
