Re: Pointelle Sweater With Popcorn Flowers

I’d like it if it wasn’t wool, and it didn’t have popcorn balls on it. I definitely would select a different color.

Very nice.  It's hard to find wool or natural fabrics anymore.  Nothing like wool to keep you warm.  Wool doesn't bother me at all, especially alpaca or cashmere.

@wilma

I'm not a fan of the balls either, don't mind the wool (as impractical as it may be for this Floridian) and the color, though beautiful on others, would wash me out...

I like the different stitch patterns. Gives a sweater subtle interest.. There's a turtleneck on Sundance I'm eying....

Yes, as someone here said, wear a silky, maybe a mock neck, long sleeved top underneath.

The new micro-fibers and polyesters seem to be tight knit, which would be a good barrier against the wool.

That's what I do, even underneath some of my non wool sweaters that might be 'itchy'.

The more I look at the O/P's sweater, the more I love it.  Lots of beautiful workmanship. Or workwomanship.
