I can not think of any material more bulky to pleat. Maybe wide wale cordurouy or burlap feed bags. No to these.

Reminds me of Z Cavaricci  jeans from the mid 1980's. Had one pair then, Pricey.

 

Maybe, they are vintage or back in style as everything comes back in a newer version to younger people. 

Sorry, but not flattering on JLo in that picture.

@San Antonio Gal  Oh no, they're back!  I've been seeing them in stores.  Everything old is new again...except me.
