I love gauchos and have several pairs of them.

There are women who look fabulous in gauchos. I feel they should be able to buy them. The rest of us can shop for something else!

Longtime QVC Buyer, my great-grandmother came over on the boat in the early 1900s. I'm one hundred percent sure she never wore gauchos.

I just bought two pairs and they really look good on my curvy, hourglass shape. I'm tall so they work for me. You just have to get the right style and size. I had to size down to a 4 for the Gap pair; the 6 looked huge and big with all the pleats. The size 4 looks fabulous.

My grandma definitely did not wear gauchos.

I don't find them to be very flattering.

From the thread I am guessing gauchos coming back in style. Great! They are flattering and comfortable. Great with boots. I like lighter weight style below knee length with sandals.

Here we go again...another poster who thinks that because she doesn't like something, nobody else should either!

My great grandmothers were born in the late 1800's, so I doubt they ever wore gauchos. I've never found any that really look good on me...but I have seen many women who look great in them!

I agree that if you like them, go for it!  I like it when we want to dress different from each other.  I'll never wear this gaucho style, but that doesn't make me not like them on others.  Leggings and skinny leg is the look for me right now, and I haven't seen anything that makes me want to venture out from that.

Bingo! Such ridiculous statements! You never hear someone say 'I really like (fill in trend) but it looks terrible on everyone' !!

There are many MANY embellishments, trends, whatever, that I don't like (believe it or not) but first I don't spend precious time discussing the negative; what's the fun in that? and secondly just because I don't like it doesn't mean EVERYONE looks terrible in it??!!

One of my grandmothers was born in 1895.  She never in her life wore any sort of pants.

The other was born in 1883 and died in 1923.  I'm fairly certain she never wore pants either.

Well, it IS posible that great grandma wore gauchos. Here's a pic of wide leg pants from the 1920's. Maybe more like palazzos but there were some pick of cowgirls in the '20s wearing real buckskin gaucho outfits.
