Sounds like a pretty dumb sales presentation if you ask me. Ok, so no one asked me. Did they have a model in a sheer dress walking around the stage with these things on? I suspect not.

I've noticed many of the models wearing this type long leg panty under the sausage casings they call leggings.  I don't know what is worse, seeing the wrinkles and bumps OR the line you can see when these are worn. Neither is a good look.

I agree that these do not take the place of a slip.  You can still see the same thing looking through a sheer skirt wearing these or not wearing these.

I still wear a slip and pantyhose when I wear a dress.

ITA with @GinaV24 , I guess I don't wear see through garments either as I posted I don't even own a slip and it may have been me that wondered if anyone still actually wore them??   No offense to those that do but I don't, nor do I feel the need to.  I guess these would not actually take the place of one.    These are not tight like Spanx, they stretch smoothly and are not hot at all, they are cool and keep you comfortable.   There is no band you can see through pants.  That being said I own the last version, not the ones with the lace on the band, so can't vouch for those.   Anyway they work for me in the hot humid summer.

@SilleeMee. @GinaV24.  Maybe I missed it but I didn't hear the chaffing issue mentioned.

Jane covered the chafing issue last night at the kickoff.  These long leg panties will not take the place of a slip, but they do help with chub rub when wearing a dress or skirt in hot weather.

If you wear dresses in hot weather, these panties will make you more comfortable and they are way less expensive than the Jockey brand.

In my high school days, we wore pettipants which were silky and non-clingy made out of slip material - these breezies seem to be on the same idea, but clingy.

@eddyandme  We also wore those when I was in high school. Haven't thought of them in many years.

@tends2dogs   You made me laugh, "sausage casings".

I never would think of those long leg panties as a

replacement for a slip. That just doesn't make any

                   sense.

@Kachina624 I know one of the other threads people mentioned it. I have found that these, like skorts work best for me in hot weather. If I'm doing yard work, I wear the bug proof clothes since I have had 3 tick bites that reacted with the daggone lyme's rash so had to be treated with antibiotic.  If I'm just going to be hanging out and staying out of the long grass, I wear skorts since the shorts underneath act the same way as the skimmies do. I wear the skimmies with my long skirts or other dresses.

I don't do pantyhose in hot weather unless it's to a really formal event
