Seeking information on how wearing long leg bloomers compensates for not wearing a slip under a sheer skirt or dress? You still see the same thing through the fabric that you would if you just wore normal panties, namely the shapes of two legs.  So what are the bloomers supposed to do other than make you feel hotter than hades?  The Breezies person says, "they'll make all of your clothes wearable".

@Kachina624    I really don't get it either??  The only thing I heard someone say that remotely made sense was that they will turn a short mini skirt into a skort.  But do they really??

@cheriere.  Hardly.  That's riduculous.

I asked the same question on another thread. Someone posted that the Breezies makes slips "old school."  No, they don't.  They are no substitute for a slip that is needed for a lightweight, see through dress or skirt.  Have never understood that recommendation that they take the place of a slip????

I agree.  And, if someone is trying to use these as "shapers" under slim-fitting pants, that line will show through the pants.  A certain host (no longer here) used to wear khaki pants with a tight shaper that ended at the largest part of the thigh.  You could see exactly where the shaper ended through her pants.  I always wanted to get a message to that person that there are some shapers that go to the knee or a little past it and that style doesn't show the band through the pants.

LOL @Kachina624 I guess my first answer is that I don't wear "sheer" clothes. I wear these (jJockey skimmies) in hot weather under skirts or dresses because if it's warm, it prevents chafing. I don't have an issue with  my legs rubbing together but certainly when it's hot, for me at least, these have worked very well.

The only advantage I see to wearing long-leg panties is they help reduce thighs rubbing together.

@SilleeMee. @GinaV24.  Maybe I missed it but I didn't hear the chaffing issue mentioned.

I don't consider long leg briefs to be a substitute for a slip, but I simply like them.  I also wear the Rhonda Shear "pin up" panties that are like tap pants since I don't like elastic around the high part of my leg.  I suppose that for some people it's that their legs aren't bare under a thin dress or skirt when wearing this style of brief.  I also haven't had a clingling problem when wearing these or my clothes sticking to my damp skin.  But whatever the reason, it's fine with me that we all have options.  And I have a sweating problem and don't find these any hotter than any other panty.

Just for reference:   I live in hot, very humid SC.  Frankly, I like a bit of cloth there to adsorb some moisture on my legs.

In my high school days, we wore pettipants which were silky and non-clingy made out of slip material - these breezies seem to be on the same idea, but clingy.
