Phrases used during fashion shows

"this top looks like money -- you'll look like you have money"

anytime they refer to "coastal grandma"

Whenever I hear them use these phrases, it just makes me laugh.  I guess these aren't things that make me want to buy!  LOL

Crisp white

When I lose the TV controller, it's always in some remote destination.

The coastal grandmother phrase never resonated with me but I guess it became a success for the person who invented it on tiktok.

@Knit-Chick

I have always found that line "you'll look like you have money"

condescending; even when friends make those kind of comments.

A friend of mine would always say "You're rich" whenever I bought something she thought was out of my reach or surprised I had purchased.  Meanwhile, she was financially better off than me and we both knew this. It didn't make me feel better and I still knew I wasn't rich and no one ever thought otherwise. LOL

It was always uncomfortable and had to be addressed.

I love Isaac but he's also guilty of those remarks. Maybe some people think that way, not me.

"jjujj" (not sure how it's spelled).  As in "jjujj up the sleeves".

Re: Phrases used during fashion shows

It's all about selling, even if it doesn't make sense.

Every garment is flattering on every body type.

The fabric is not cheap and flimsy, but rather substantial, yet so lightweight etc.

Not to mention the personal stories trying to create a connection and image. I watched  a host ask the vendor what is your favorite day of the week. She barley let her finish, was not even listening to what she said, because she just wanted to tell the story of her favorite day. She slowly, painfully went on to tell her story. I would not buy based on that story or any other host connection. If I want to buy something I buy it. I only want the pertinent information about the product.

As for the top looks like money. What does that mean? It's a ridiculous sales ploy.
