Pet peeve regarding tactless women...

One of my biggest pet peeves is when women label drop. Case in point: I complement someone on her handbag and she says, "Oh, thanks." And then adds, before walking off, "CHANEL." Yes, I realize what brand it is, even though I didn't ask, but thanks for filling me in. Tacky, tacky.

Does anyone else find that many women do this?
