Penney's Hawaii???

was searching on ebay & came across a vintage dress with the tag 'Penney's Hawaii'...is that the same store as JCPenney?

@alohakz Could it be a collection they produced for their stores? The Penneys logo looks like one I remember.

 

Edited to add: @CatsyCline @posted the logo while I was composing my post. I bet it was a warm weather collection back in the day.

i remember this "Penney's" logo used on store signs in the early 60's

 

When James Cash Penney, the founder, died they changed the name to JC Penney
