Re: Pat D. Made Interesting Comment About Peplums

@mac116 I love Angel! Her styling tips are awesome and she realizes the Quacker line isn't for everyone, but I really enjoy watching her.

@mac116  I agree with both of you.  There is a line on HSN, designer Marla Wynns I believe that says not all styles can be worn by everyone.  Refreshing

HATE Peplums!  I don't have any curves.  Nadda.  I'm slight. I have a little bum that sticks out a little bit, but built closer to a boy then a girl.  I'd put them on & it would flap in the wind. I thought they went out f style anyway.  You don't see them in stores.  They still bring out on QVC.

The same people who told you the peplum is the cat's meow yesteryear will now tell you it is passe.  Wait, wait, wait.  It will be the cat's meow again in a few more years and they will be whooping it up over how new and on-trend it is.

I don't own any peplum.  That's one trend I let pass on by me.

Pat is a great host with a wealth of information, I'm sure she stays up on the going rage of fashion.

Re: Pat D. Made Interesting Comment About Peplums

If your livelihood comes from selling, you sell what's currently in front of you!

That's true of every single designer on QVC or anywhere else.

That's true of all the shopping channelhosts around the dial.

But that's also true of the car salespeople no matter the company.

And the mattress hawker in the mall store.

Or the blogger "selling" her opinion of a style.

And, please, where's the appliance salesperson who "knows" stainless steel is on the way out?    That's the new and different I'm looking for!

Maybe Susan Graver should stop using Liquid Knit fabrics for her clothes.

She frequently proclaims that "you'll wear it forever."

Hahaha.  Of course.  Until she's selling the other.

Pat must not have been in Macy's or Nordstrom lately.  Lots of flouncy peplum tops in the stores and on-line.

I love my peplums..have many from Isaac Mizrahi, Halston...Guiliana and Diane Gilman.  I don't see them going anywhere....Pat surprises me to say otherwise~!

What do you know??? Today she's on with Susan Graver giving praises for Susan's peplums!!!!!! Woman Wink
