I love that look. Mixes classic trousers with easy slouch.

Lolo, perfect pants. I wish I were young enough to wear them. I love them.

I'm 58, and I didn't think they looked too young for me. Do you feel like they're only for younger people? I felt like you probably needed to be thin, but not young. I found some shoes I can order with 2 1/2" heels that are a comfortable brand for me, but they aren't stilettos. They're shooties. Would they be cute with these pants, or are stilettos the only thing that would work? I just can't wear them with my problem feet.

you could wear a shallow cut ballet flat or sleek loafer. or a slight wedge. a shootie might be too heavy for this look.

NickNack,

I don't think you need a stiletto. I just looked them up again, and they're 100% cotton, which to me says they're like a chino. I don't wear heels with 100% cotton pants, but I'm not a heels person. I think you could certainly do a wedge heel or espadrille with these, because of the fabric.

CatsyCline and lolakimono, thanks for the ideas. I think a slight wedge sounds like a great solution.

That's a beautiful pant that reminds me of Katharine Hepburn. I remember wearing this style the last time it was in. Pant and jean manufacturers make the waists so large these days that it's nice to see something that looks tailored and shows off a waist if you have one.

This is my look! I've always loved high-waisted pants and skirts. Seems as though the very high-end models are always/frequently wearing high-waisted, very high-end designs. (Very expensive, in the thousands of dollars) ..... Think of the comfort, too.

O/P: It very well could have been me, complaining about uncomfortable low-cut pants. {#emotions_dlg.unsure}

I'm the one who always seems to go around, rack to rack, checking out the length of the fabric from waist to crotch before I even attempt to try on pants.
