I used to love Legacy shapers and happened to get 3 pairs from eBay. I think they are the best. I agree. I miss the days of pantyhose. These legs aren't going bare anywhere. Pants or tights only.

I don't wear bare legs, especially here in Wisconsin in the winter time. I wear a lot of skirts and dresses, so I prefer tights, But do wear Pantyhose as well. I have found some really nice ones at believe or not DSW Shoes......They are not as thick as tights, but not as thin as regular pantyhose-kind of in between, and they last. Bad part-price-they are 10.00 a pair. I have purchased 3 pairs since last year, and still have them and they are good as new!!!!!!I hand wash mine too......

I wear pantyhose whenever I dress up, regardless of the season.  Even in the hottest weather, I'd rather have silky pantyhose on, particularly when I cross my legs when I'm sitting.  There is nothing worse than crossing hot, sweaty legs.

I've never understood why some say they will wear tights but not pantyhose.  They are the same thing just a different thickness. If you wear the size, pantyhose are not uncomfortable.  If they bind you or worse yet, fall down, you are wearing the wrong size.

Pantyhose make shoes fit better.  There is no friction to cause blisters.

When I wear them I wear Hanes Smooth Illusions full support. You can only get them on the Hanes site, I stocked up a couple of years ago. They are shaping and not sheer.

I also like the Spanx hose from Kohls.

@BriggsiePeawiggle,Totally agree with you!  To me, a bare leg or foot looks unfinished when wearing dark fall or heavy winter clothes as well as I don't like the feel.  Wearing hosiery never bothered me.

I wear Hanes Silk Reflections.  They're yummy!

Bare feet aren't good for shoes either.

You might look at Nordstrom for hosiery for tall gals.  Good luck.

I've looked everywhere and tried just about everything. The only ones that fit well and feel nice are Legacy. Thanks though!

I'll look at the local DSW here. It's only a mile away. I've tried L'eggs, Hanes Silken Mist and all the other brands listed, but not the DSW ones you mention.Thank you.

Isn't there some sort of spray that prevents that? Seems like I've seen it somewhere......

@Andreatoo,There may be.  Hairspray works just as well.

@ECBG

I just ordered some Hanes Silk Reflections knee highs off of Amazon. Here's hoping they're  slippery enough to solve my problem.  (As I mentioned in my answer to Andreatoo, it's not a static problem but rather two fabrics "grabbing" each other.) Thanks for suggesting this brand. 😊

Memories........... yes, back when I worked, I bought Legacy pantyhose from QVC all the time.  They just felt better than other brands.  Is that weird?    I used to wear pantyhose every day, summer and winter.  I never felt "dressed" unless I had on hose.

I'm one that will wear leggings but not pantyhose. Hose runs very easily for me. No matter the brand, I can pull them up and they'll run, wheras leggings are more sturdier and breathable. Bare legs in the warmer months are much more comfortable and cooler, but my dresses and skirts are ankle length, so my legs are covered and hose isn't needed.
