A set does not have to match in color perfectly.  Some times exact match colors can look odd together.  

 

For example, if you had purple slacks on and a exact match purple blouse you might look like an easter egg.  Whereas if you had a light lilac blouse on it would break up the severe monochromatic look.  JMO.

I saw that the top/shorts didn't match also even though they are both called the same color, "Aqua Floral". The top has more yellowish flowers/greenish background than does the shorts and it was obvious in the presentation I saw.
