Re: Outfit of the day, if you dare!

It seems a couple of us have been facing medical issues lately.  After getting my back (both lumbar and cervical spine) treated with nerve block injections, my doctor discovered  the additional pain in my right leg was due to bone on bone degeneration of my right hip and he  recommended total hip replacement.

I had the surgery (anterior approach) done at the end of January and have been recouping at home in mostly compression shorts and my jammies.  Did hip and back exercises daily and worked on my ambulating.  I used an ice/compression machine on my hips and lower legs daily so I didn't dress up very much beyond joggers.

I'm doing very well post replacement and starting to walk without a cane (used mostly to avoid falling). Hope to be getting out a bit more and dressing as usual.  Will start posting pics again soon.

Re: Outfit of the day, if you dare!

I'm posting this here since I associate ECBG with this thread and I hope all here take my post in the loving manner it's intended.  I had an anterior hip replacement at the end of January.  My husband drove me to the last appointment to be sure I was released to drive and because the drive in over 50 miles each way.  The point being I wasn't driving so I could look around for once.  As we exited the doc's parking lot, I looked across the road and saw a beautiful old church with a beautiful cemetery.  The name looked vaguely familiar and it "came to me" that is likely ECBG's resting place.  Any way, I sent her a prayer and told her that we miss her posts here.  Wished her peace and rest.

I checked her obit when I got home and I was right.  Just wanted to share with you posters that her resting place is beautiful and serene.

Hello, Everyone.

I'm still dealing with the infection related to abdominal surgery many years ago. Latest test shows just how bad it is. Guess that explains the pain I've had for 4 months now. Taking a toll on me. If current meds don't help me, my surgeon will try different meds. Surgery is the only other option. Still haven't returned to choir.

Take care. Wishing You All the Best! Happy Spring!

Hello @wilma I am sorry that you are suffering with such pain due to the infection and I hope the surgeon can soon find other methods to help you.  You're in my thoughts and I wish you all the best.  Take care and I hope you feel better soon.

Re: Outfit of the day, if you dare!

Went back to the doctor this week. Still taking lots of  medications. The side effects are not pleasant, but they  seem to be helping some. Will see surgeon at end of April to make some decisions.

Hoping to make it church this weekend; not to sing, but to be present. Will depend on how I feel.

Best Wishes to All!

Wore this lightweight cute dog sweater the other day with a pair of dark wash jeans and black loafers. Never heard of the brand - Alashan. Found it at TJMaxx back in January.

Sometimes I like to wear whimsical dog and animal themed clothing instead of my more "serious" and tailored pieces.
