Re: Outfit of the day, if you dare!

I hope everyone had a nice day!  I was seen by my new allergy doctor and FINALLY, after 3 weeks got my main allergy med which I had been without; then I had a wonderful BLT-Avocado salad with chicken strips for lunch-dinner. When I close fall-December, I get in at 9pm.

Came home-NO WATER!!!  Oh joy!!!

Our water issue has been resolved, so I didn't work today. That area of the basement has a fan on it,

and I am out of that medical boot, very slowly!Smiley Happy

Hope your day was great!

@ECBG   I'm glad that you're out of the medical boot! You were such a good sport with having to wear that boot and it is great to hear that your bone chip in your ankle is getting better Smiley Happy.

@ECBG I have been meaning to comment but have been busy looking for a new job.
Your outfits are very nice and creative with your temporary shoe accessory.
I'm happy you are back to work. With the weather getting cooler I'm looking forward to see you in your fall fashions.
Oh I loved the photo with Shadow making his appearance....

SO nice to see you.  I had a pic from yesterday but a microsoft update has changed the way I post pictures.  I'll drag DH in here and get him to figure it out again.  Oh boy!

Have you tried Indeed dot com?

This is the missing picture ladies.  The scarf is slightly off white with thin black stripes and made the outfit. (Love this scarf from Shephards Fashion in Canada.  They do 3 fashion shows a week.  Beautiful clothes that last.  No coupons.). Black linen jacket, black linen pants with side buttons, and red 3/4 sleeve cotton tee.  Pendant, black onyx.

Re: Outfit of the day, if you dare!

@ECBG I really like the pants with the buttons. For Bobby Ray Carter's Anniversary she had on a pair of DG2 jeans with buttons down the ankle. I usually don't wear DG2 jeans because I'm pear shaped and her jeans are inconsistent, but I bought them and I love them!
The scarf is the perfect color to tie in the red with the black. A pretty transitional outfit.
I did go to indeed and I have an interview for a receptionist job at an assisted living home. It would be more hours but pays less. But I would get benefits which I don't have now. I only work 3 days a week and I have a 30 minute commute. This job is just 10 minutes away from me.
The job I have now I wear scrubs so if I get it, I would probably have to buy a few nice pieces of clothing.

I hope your feeling better every day...

I will keep you in prayer that you  make the best career decision.

I can tell you that few people get benefits other than managers these days.  I saw the change when I worked at Belk, after leaving Dillard's when I developed sciatic nerve issues.

I am an retired NC  teacher, so my insurance  will stay with me.

Another thing-this time of year retail jobs are seasonal, then they cut you lose after Christmas but they won't tell you unless you pointedly ask.

I won't manage where I work.  I like what I do.  I've had enough paperwork.

Re: Outfit of the day, if you dare!

ECBG:  You look great in this outfit.  I'd call it a simplified outfit for you.  The shorter jacket gives a good proportion and no belt to cut you off. The bright color complements your complexion so nicely and the accessories are simplified, too.  Glad you are out of your boot.
