Hi Fashion luvers
After we move on from the ?current fashion of what used to be called "High Water Pants/Slacks," what do we do with their obvious outdated fashion? Alter them to Bermudas/Shorts? Add layers & layers of lace at the hem, like that wont be obvious? hmm

You can shorten a pair of pants you already own...and then let the hem back down when the "craze" passes...

I am beginning to think they are here to stay. I don't remember this ever being a trend before recent years. But I see lots of ladies wear them now, still. I guess just easier to get around in. And one can show off the shoes! I resisted for a long time, but I own some.

If you mean crops , they are big this year and I believe they are here to stay!
I love them and find myself wearing them all summer. I wear them more than capris now though I still have a few pairs of capris.
I find the phrase "high water pants" to be a dated relic of a term going back 50 years or so. If one doesn't like them then you have other options such as shorts or dresses neither of which I prefer to wear since I don't like to expose my knees.

ANKLE LENGTH pants have been in-and-out of fashion many times over the past 50 years...

Ankle length pants are not going anywhere, especially not slim leg ankle pants. I'm 63 years old and they've been around since I can remember.
I think, however, the wide leg ankle and crop pants go in & out of style.
But I no longer subscribe to what's in style anyway. I wear what I love, and I love ankle pants.
Conversely, I loathe capri, skimmer, pedal pusher, and high crop pants (that hit right at the middle of the calf), and will never wear them.

I will pack them up after Labor Day, and Heaven willing, I will wear them again next spring. 😀

My solution to this dilemma is to not buy any floods.
