Thanks everyone who posted these pictures. I think they all look lovely and yes, Ben Affleck, you are an idiot!! Jennifer looked gorgeous in that blue dress as did Nicole Kidman, Tom Cruise also an idiot, though I find Keith Urban is much hotter!!
I don't bother watching anymore, it's become too ridiculous with all of them using the time for awards to voice their personal opinions. I love the dresses though and I really miss Joan Rivers on the red carpet.

I just can't get past what these women stand for to appreciate what they are wearing. I know. I'm a debbie downer. I haven't watched award shows for a long time. I do appreciate the post of a couple of these dresses. At least a couple of them have good taste.

@violannwrote:Who was the lady who wore her bedspread? Although I actually sort of liked it, I couldn’t help thinking of Carol Burnett.....
”Ah saw it in the winduh (on the bed) and Ah just couldn’t resist it.......”
@violann, that was my first thought when I saw Frances McDormand (sp?) only her designer probably used the carpet ! Not to detract from her acting talent but .... Examples of past 50 stars that still try and succeed wonderfully were Jane Fonda and Helen Mirren (sp?) If you have all of that $$ and resources why not use it ?
I think Jennifer Garner was gorgeous . Also NIcole Kidman, Mary Blige, and ladies in red Allison Janey (again sp?) & Ms. Streep.
I enjoyed the show as I enjoy some of the end results of the craft now and all of my life. As in any livelihood there is a range of sincerity to hypocrisy.
