Sadly many small business owners have gone bankrupt this year.

You can't bankrupt your payroll taxes or other business taxes.

I find myself doing that also!  While there are some unusual situations that cause someone to not be able to pay taxes, most are the ones who never even tried and will do anything to not pay!!  As long as you contact the IRS and make repayment plans, eventually, in most cases, you will catch up.  I have known some who just ignore paying and even have bragged about not paying.

Save your voice & count your blessings that you aren't in the same sinking boat as those who can't pay...I don't think I need to list the awful things that happen. Be well @bewise.

I come across many commercials that are dumb.  I hit the mute button--instant fix.  Or I get up and do something in the kitchen for a few minutes.  There is always something to put away.

But those commercials are on so many times a day and who is really going to run to the TV to mute something if you are busy doing something else.  Not an answer to someone just voicing their opinion on a subject.

@Pook  According to DH, it's been impossible for the last 6 months to contact the correct people or any agents for help at the IRS or similar agencies. He's had difficulty especially with questions on behalf of clients who have received false notices. Their staff is limited and they are overwhelmed with requests, processing returns, etc.

:I'm not referring to what is happening this last 6 months.  These commercials have been on for years!!!  nonpayment of taxes has been going on for years!!
