Last weekend I saw a young woman who was so put together in every way I wish I could be. I sat and stared at her handbag and I could kick myself for not approaching her and asking about it. I am thinking it might have been a vintage bag since the quality looked so different from what is in the marketplace today.
What color was her bag?

I need to replace my black medium to tall flat sole "scrunch" boots. I wore them out last year!! Sometimes difficult to find for my size 10 wide calf self!

I received the Susan Graver moto jacket today. I tried it on in between rushing around the house when I first got home.
I like the color - it's a blue red, not a true brick red. Now I can go either way, however I was hoping for a blue based red in this jacket.
Fabric - feels like the weight of a perfect jersey top from Denim & Co. That is giving me some pause given then $58 price tag.
Style - I guess I don't have anything like it which is a plus.
Fit - It was touted as fitted, and since I don't like outerwear to fit like saran wrap, I ordered a medium. The shoulders fit perfectly and the sleeve length is fine for these long arms of mine - providing I wash this item on cold and line dry (if I keep it). I like the sweep - it isn't too wide and floppy, just skims my hips. The slight diagonal of the zipper gives a moto-ish feel without going overboard. Zipper is good and exposed zipper on the one placket doesn't look cheap or anything.
What gives me pause:
The neckline - won't keep your neck warm and it begs for a scarf to liven up the overall look.
The size of the armholes and their impact on the chest. To me, the armholes are kinda big and fall kind of low in relation to the boobalongs. Given this is an 'outerwear' garment, I tried on some of my own jackets and see that the arm holes are about the same size. So now I wonder, why do the SG armholes seem large to me then?
Maybe, because the fabric feels like a heavy tee, I'm expecting armholes that don't fall so low. I tried the jacket on with my bra and top on that I wore to work so I know gravity wasn't working against me (lol).
The jacket doesn't knock my socks off and it also doesn't scream what was I thinking?
I think chesty girls with smaller hips will like the fit. If you accommodate your hips and are not really endowed, I think you will find the chest part a little baggy.

birdmama, I am so happy for you finding your new handbag! A 30-year search and finally the bag of your dreams! So you know what I am going through! My favorite shoe store sells Pikolinos. Quality for sure! Next time I visit I will have to see if they also have Pikolinos handbags.
lola, imagine a chocolate brown and a British tan giving birth to a baby handbag. LOL It was just that color. Very rich, but not too dark and not at all orange-y. It was a zip around; not a domed shape, but rather a slight rectangle and it had nice flat handles that were not at all skinny. It was structured but not in a rigid, uptight way. Oh, and no hardware (except the zipper). From what I could see, the lining was light in color. I am almost certain this was a vintage bag, because it just did not look like anything I have seen in the market place. Oh well, the hunt continues!

bird, I like your new bag! It should serve you well for work, as well as casual weekend attire. In my attempt to declutter, downsize and live a minimalist lifestyle--just what I need!

It is so hard to choose just one thing. However, I think what I really want is a pair of casual brown boots. I have no style in mind, but I am sure I will know them when I see them.
