Oils or Creams for Nails -- Which ones do you use for dry, brittle nails?

I would like to start using an oil or cream at night for my nails and cuticles.  My nails and cuticles are super dry no matter how often I use hand cream.

My nails are also showing a lot of those verticle lines -- yuck -- ugly.

What oils or creams --- and brand names, too, please, if you don't mind, are you using that have really helped strengthen your nails and made your cuticles and nails look more healthy?

Thanks very much for your replies!!!

My favorite cuticle cream is from ORLY (in white jar). I actuallty repurchased it when I was out. I love Solar Oil as well.

i began using oil on my nails by using sally hansen nail and cuticle oil.  when the bottle ran out, i bought (from wally world) a small bottle of vitamin E oil and another of sweet almond oil.   i refill that sally hansen bottle with combos of these.  works like magic!  i oil the nails in the morning and before bed, and also put on a nice coat over the entire bare nail, before polishing, and let it soak in.

this has made a HUGE improvement in my nails and cuticles. !!

and btw: i have also used plain ole olive oil in a pinch as well.

And ... i  use the oil on my toes too!

My I suggest adding biotin to your diet. I get mine at Costco and it has made a difference. I recently began using TIPS from the Q. I got it as a oto. My cuticles would get very dry as my hands are always in water. Tips has helped. I no longer have dry skin and peeling.

I use Burt's Bees also, When I am watching TV at night, I just put some on each nail and rub it in.  Like the results.

I use T.I.P.S oil for my cuticles and nails. It works great and dries in a flash. First Aid Beauty has an Ultra Repair Cream that I really like for my hands as well as Josie Maron's hand cream.  All of these products work well, last and you don't need to use a lot of the product each time.

Really, any oil will do quite nicely. The trick is to use it a couple times a day and to really massage it in.

Right now I am working on a plum oil that I had purchased from Garden of Wisdom. The smell is so pretty! But more importantly, it leaves my cuticles and nails in great shape.
