I know these are fashionable, but we've been suckered!  If people had to wear jeans like this because the couldn't afford new ones (perfect) there would be a federal program to supply unpatched, undistressed jeans!

I just like clothing I buy not to be ripped or threadbare.  I may be weird but that's just me.  I also wouldn't wear high heels with jeans.

It's a scam because the ripped jeans companies are making new jeans look like just came out of the town dump and advertising them with beautiful models and celebs wearing them so they look enticing to young people.  Older folks, who want to look young, latch onto any crazy thing they hope will make them look young.  

If poor people had to wear such garments there would be a federal program to provide new, non patched or ripped garments.
