While I do not find them offensive, I really dislike them and do find them totally fake. This is a serious issue, not something that actors should be fake crying about...

Haven't seen any of these commercials ~~ but if actors can cry on command...can't they speak on command? I'll be on the lookout for these so I can form a more informed opinion.

There's a big anti-bullying campaign going on now. I don't have a TV, but I frequently hear an excessively long ad on the radio where teenagers say something like, "today in geometry I learned that I was stupid, today in history, I learned I smelled bad, today in social studies, I learned I was worthless ... " . The ad is very long and depressing.
Frankly, I wish they'd stop.

The affects it has had on her parents (which her mother and my mother are twins) is just been terrible! I just feel like common folks go through this everyday in this country and their life is just as important as any famous person! On 1/6/2015 wvumountiefan said: What irritates me is that it's only getting national attention because they caught a famous athlete on camera doing it!!! My mother suffered severe physical, mental abuse for years by her first husband and had to move from New Mexico back to her family in WV to get away. Her husband was in the military and she had 3 small children and never received one cent from him. It wasn't until she met my dad and he accepted those kids like his own that she was able to have anything for her and my brothers and sister. Why does it take a famous person to go through something horrible to wake our nation up?? Men and women and kids suffer through this daily. Just last year my cousin was murdered by her ex husband. Grrrrr! I'm sorry for the rant, but I just had to get it off my chest.I am so sorry about your cousin! I was abused and even my kids don't take it seriously. Its about time they brought attention to this terrible crime..I have a friend whose husband is in the military and was abusive and doesn't support her or his 3yo daughter. He seems to be off the radar. He got a pass from the judge because he's in the military..its as old as the ages!

I was a victim, it is difficult to get out of the situation and difficult to talk about it. I don't think many people understand that. That Football Players Wife will suffer again, I believe. It is horrible, just horrible. Last week in my town we had a sad case of a woman, who had left her husband in August, she went to his house to pick up the kids and he murdered her by shooting her, the kids ran out to a neighbors house and the neighbor tried to talk him into putting down the gun. The police came quickly and he still had the gun and pointed at the Cops and they killed him too. So the kids lost both their parents 4 days after Christmas. This woman was trying to get out of the relationship, I don't know what hardship she suffered before this incident but she gave her life for it. We need to be very compassionate with all Domestic Violence Victims. It is not as easy as "just leaving" and you feel very alone.

Here is a Link to the news that happened in my town last week. Just a warning, the gunshots that the cops fired are audible on the tape.

I find them cringe worthy.
They don't address the real problem, the abused refusing to testify, putting those willing to help; friends, relatives, and police officers in danger only to return to the abuser again and again. How is it that they stay year after year, bring children into the world to be abused, when surely the abuse began early on in the relationship?

They bring children into the world thinking that a baby "will fix things!". Unfortunately, there is a handful of "lessons" that come up again and again but are never learned.
They also are rarely able or care to be on birth control.
