I'm from Riverside & family is delighted as they were set to go on water rationing. I now live in eastern Az & it is dark, windy & pouring rain. I am loving it as we got NO snow this year. I'd rather have the rain for the pines.

Yes, but that rain in California is destined to work it's way east and into another sloppy winter storm. I'm happy California is finally getting some much needed rain, but couldn't they just keep it out there...?

I would gladly give some rain back- I am in Glendora and haven't been able to go home for 2 days, plus last night at the house I am staying, the wind was so bad that it took up a lead weighted 11 foot rectangular patio umbrella and snapped it in two and almost put it through the sliding glass doors- I jut hope my house is ok and want to go home!

stilltamn8r, Glendora seems to be hit the hardest and all the KNX radio reports have people on the scene there. Fortunately, they are clearing the debris basins, moving mud from roadways and seem to be staying with their original plan set forth in January, so I think you will be in luck. I totally feel for you. We've been evacuated three times from three different homes over a 15-year period due to fires, and the feeling of helplessness and frustration is overwhelming. You really do get a different viewpoint of what's "stuff" and what's really important in life when you've been through those scenarios.

Thanks, I AM glad I left when I did- I see people stayed and heard the rain last night and wonder how they fared- I am at work now, so I can't catch upon what happened, but I AM feeling like I can't wait to sleep in my own bed and take a nice hot bath in my own bathtub!

(And i thought the FIRE was scary!!!) This stuff can get you without any warning!
