Re: Now why couldn't QVC do this on our returns???

I returned 3 packages to HSN Friday via USPS. As of yesterday, all have been delivered to HSN and they show on my account as returned.

I have never, ever had a return sit at USPS whether they are going to HSN, QVC, ShopHQ or some other company. I have also never had a package sit at the UPS facility. I only have this issue with a UPS store.

Do you have the magic touch? Wink I've had no problems whatever with HSN, so I have no idea why it takes from 3 to 7 days for the "shipping agent" to pick up my packages from the post office. I used to wonder why it took so long for them to show "returned" on QVC until I figured out how to track how long they stay at the post office. Don't know whether it has to do with my area or not - I'm in a city of over 200,000, so it's not like I'm way out in a rural area. It doesn't bother me when I'm only sending back one thing, but lately I've had to send back several pairs of jeans, etc. because of incorrect sizing, meanwhile having to re-order a different size and all wind up on my credit card at the same time-so far the Q hasn't delayed things to the point where I wind up having to pay interest on something I've returned. I don't have to worry about it any more, though, because I'm taking a LONG sabbatical from ordering anything from QVC!{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

It would be a nice gesture for the amount of S&H they charge.

I have never had any problems with returns to QVC. You can check online to see the status of your return. What are you talking about when you say that QVC's shipping agent leaves packages at the post office for days at a time before they pick them up?? I thought they were just sent through the USPS system. This doen't make sense.

I really like the HSN email system for returns. Yes, QVC allows you to track it, so it's not necessary, but once again, HSN goes above expectations.

Some of you need glasses, you can track your return on the QVC return label, all you have to do is READ!!!

You'll also get notification of when it is received & if you want a refund or whatever by marking X on the box that says that!

That's not what people are praising about HSN - I know I can track my QVC return, and I know they will send me an email when they've processed it. But HSN (and Amazon) send you an email the minute it's scanned through the post office saying they know it's coming. It's just a nice extra.

Exactly. Qvc did not let me track package with their label ....for three weeks I waited until it showed refunded in my QVC account page. So I was in limbo about where the package was all that time. HSN emailed me two days after mailing with their label, gave me a tracking number and let me know they would contact me when it got to their wear house. They do not leave you just hanging...wondering....

I don't know if the info I copied from the USPS website will come out properly when I submit this...if not, I'll edit and try to fix it. It will show you what happens at the post office after you have dropped off your package. After the shipping agent picks it up, you can no longer track it through the post office, you have to wait for QVC to update their Returns Status page. This is the last package I left at USPS-I deleted the city and zip code for privacy. I dropped this package off on April 8 and this one was picked up quickly. However, I have had packages sit at the post office from 3 to 7 days before being picked up by the shipping agent. I dropped off a package on a Friday and it stayed at the post office until the following Friday before being picked up. It took a total of 11 days for that package to go 500 miles from my home to QVC. The post office updates this info at least every day until the shipping agent gets the package.

gazelle, it took me a long time to finally figure out the first part of QVC's return shipping process. Did you use the number under the large barcode on the label and track it on the post office website after you dropped it off? The reason I ask is that what took so long may be the same thing I experienced with my package being at the post office for 7 days before it even left there. I make a copy of the label I use so I can track it until the so-called shipping agent picks it up--then I'm at the mercy of QVC.
