Re: Not happy to see lower price for Petites than for Regulars in the same Denim & Co crops.

[ Edited ]

@Mindy D Prices fluctuate between Tall, Regular and Petites. It's all in supply and demand and stock on hand. I have seen a Lunchtime Special for a Regular at substantially lower price than Petite and even Tall. The following week it could be a Tall that is the most reduced. Like another poster stated, plain and simple.

What really bothers me is bracelets. Why is an XSmall priced the same as an XL? Obviously there is less metal and yet the Smaller person has to compensate in cost for the larger size. This happens with both gold and silver. In some cases there is a full 2" difference. I feel this is more unfair since there is no extra effort in creating a size 6" bracelet to an 8", yet less metal is used. Considering gold is almost $2,000 an oz, that's an justifiable "trend".

Makes sense to me. Petite clothing items use LESS material. That's the reason for the LOWER price.

@layla2450 do you think plus size clothing should cost more than regulars?

Totally agree @cjm61  !

Not only less metal...but quite often fewer gems used such as in tennis bracelet types.

I agree they should be priced differently!!!

The petites may be from the old stock, old manufacturer they still had on hand when the new merchandise arrived.  They may just want to get rid of them.

@Kachina624 @These are the ones that just came in. I think they are priced lower in petites to help move them.

Now the same thing is happening with the Denim & Co EasyWear Twill Wide Leg Crops, A587234 and A587235

Petites and Regulars were the same price yesterday. Today, petites are $54.52 and  regulars are $60.

There already was a second example of this that I didn't post about, Jersten Lindquist Dockside Crops were $2 more for the regulars and talls than the petites yesterday.

This is probably a measure to increase sales of the petites but I still don't like it.

I don't have a problem with it.  It's certainly a different pricing strategy.

5/ 21 The Petites are the same price as the Regulars again. Now both are $49.96.
