we recently got one in our city. I hear ppl talking about how great it is. Went today. My impressions:

Reminded me of TJ Maxx-racks packed to overflowing

Lots and lots of ruffles on tops and dresses- not my thing at all

Nearly everything in women's clothing had a definite Juniors look

I was looking for a dressy top to wear with nicer cream color slacks. Or possibly a dress. The dresses I saw were either fussy ruffled junior styles, or made of that 100% crispy feeling polyester. Or both. So dated and tacky.

Needless to say I came away underwhelmed.

My shopping is currently geared towards my high school class party in July. I have things in my closet I could wear but might be interested in a new outfit.

There's a Nordstrom Rack near me, also Marshall's and TJ Maxx.  They are very similar.  You have to do a lot of browsing through the racks.  Sometimes you get lucky, other times not.   Thats how shopping goes.

Try Talbots. Lot of variety, quality and prices are great when they have sales.

I have found very good deals on shoes there, but don't care for their clothes at all.

Grew up in  OR AND WA states and NORDSTROM was our go to store.

I don't recall a Rack back then, and once I saw them in area they actually had items from regular merchandise; now not so much - many off brands.

Re: Nordstrom Rack

I've never been to a Nordstrom Rack, but I like the Nordstrom Rack website- I've purchased some nice denim jackets and cute tops from there. 😊

We have a couple of Nordstrom Racks and I'm not impressed with them at all.  Seemed messy and disorganized and not my taste in clothing at all.  But I can also say that for the regular Nordstrom's I have across the street from our condo.   Our Marshall's is much nicer.

Same here!   I've never bought clothing there, but have purchased three pair of shoes ... all of them really great "finds".
