Yes, I noticed. I put about 10 items on my wish list early on. On Aug 4, the first day the sale opened for the top tier customers, the shoes I most wanted sold out.
I found a similar pair elsewhere for about $10 more. Haven't checked my list again, because that annoyed me so much!
may not end up buying anything this year.

Gosh, I guess nobody else wants the stuff I want—it’s all still in my wishlist!

Since when is Nordstrom so exclusive that they are operating like a country club with tiered memberships? I refuse to support a business with nonsense like that...

@Trinity11ITA, I can see a day or two before letting everyone able to get it but not this long.

I agree, and have decided not to even check again on my two remaining items.
I've been a Nordstrom card holder for many years, but feel like since I don't spend enough to warrant equal shopping opportunities, I'll take my business to stores that don't play games like this.
I watch several YouTube clothing subscription box haulers, and I see them ordering way more than they will buy, in multiple sizes, so they are taking away, temporarily until they decide to return it, inventory that those without the influencer status can purchase.
Not cool, Nordstrom.

Almost all stores have some sort of reward system for the amount you purchase. They usually give you a cash reward or free shipping or early access to sales - Talbots, J. Crew, Ann Taylor. The Gap and Old Navy all come to mind. I am sure there are more. Why is Nordstrom any different?

I feel like what will be left by the time preferred shoppers are done, I may as well skip Nordstrom and go to TJM, Marshalls, or Ross, because the merchandise remaining will be the same leftover brands but probably at better prices.
Maybe it was a fairer system before internet influencers got involved and encourage followers to buy multiple sizes, get the merch home, and take their time deciding what to keep and what to return.
Meanwhile, there are shoppers who know what they want, the size and color, aren't chronic returners, and just want the opportunity to buy at a better price.

Being that Nordstrom has been around longer than the retailer's you mentioned, and being that they have never acted elitist this is a disappointment to those who have shopped with them a long, long time. Inclusive of the Anniversary sale.
Nordstrom gives rewards by price matching, every $ spent is matched up to 2,000 points and then they give you a $20.00 gift card to spend in the store anyway you choose.
You must not be a Nordstrom customer or you would know and understand the frustration.

I have been a Nordstrom customer for years and have received many of their gift cards. I can shop tomorrow for my items. I just don't think it is wrong to reward those that spend the big bucks (that is not me) with first choice.

@jellyBEAN I was looking for a nice cardigan sweater in charcoal gray or black. All the ones I looked at were hand wash and dry flat (I don't think so). If they are not machine washable then I will do dry clean but not hand wash.
