Re: No AMS Live Chat (CIJ) 7:00, 7/25

@Snicks1   I have trees (pines and a huge fruitless mulberry) that line the back fence of my yard.  Of course the power lines are above them....well maybe I should say the power lines are among them.

I had (I think he might be in my past) tree guy that maintained all of my trees for over 15 years.  The guy started his work life with DTE (electric company) and knew how to get in and around the power lines.

He used to be more humble.  Now he's pompous and I don't like that so when I needed a shrub and smaller ornamental mulberry snatched out of the front and side of my property I used a different guy.

Here's the thing, I'm thinking about having one of my pines in the back taken down.  Haven't asked new guy Joe how much experience he has with power lines.

It's tricky - they charge an arm, leg and lung as it is.  The last thing you wanna do is be responsible for taking the neighborhood out when it comes to power Woman Very Happy

I replaced both of my garage doors (main part - cars; addition - opens onto the patio) this week.  You wouldn't think new garage doors would be a big thing - I love 'em.

@Bird mama, exactly. That is why I have decided to just go with whatever the utility company does, and figure out what I will be left to deal with afterwards.

@Bird mama, each of the 3 (and counting) people I have talked to have asked me what I want done. Each time I said I wanted the tree taken down completely. Why they even ask I don't know, since they clearly have no intention of taking the entire tree down.

Oooh, nice. I love doing this kind of project, makes a huge difference and it's so nice to look at and enjoy. Good for you.
