Re: Newest colors for Fall: Fashion world already setting color trends.

Seriously why would someone let this "fashion World" tell you that this or that is the color of the season?  I wear what looks good on me. Period.

Re: Newest colors for Fall: Fashion world already setting color trends.

I really don't pay any attention at all to what "the colors" are supposed to be for any season.  Seems silly to me.  What if you hate "the color" of the season?  What if it clashes with what you have in your closet?  They are nice colors, I prefer jewel tones but I like winter pastels too.  I do choose a "color story" for each season but it's what appeals to me.  Not what retailers want me to buy.  I'm beginning to see that QVC and other retailers are really pushing olive green.  I'll pass on that....lol

The pale palette will work in CA or FL, but I live in the northeast and the motor oil mixed within the melting snow during winter months is not conducive with winter whites and dusty rose.

Called "Sludge" and probably does well in the the winter for dirty snow.

You are correct with your word “sludge.” I could not come up with the exact way to describe the viscous mixture of liquid that always appears on the back of my ivory slacks when crossing the street.  You nailed it !

I don't equate those colors with fall. I like the white, gray and pale pink. The rest can go. What happened to Marsala? That's a great color, especially for fall.

love both sets of colors.  Regarding lovetoteach Seventeen magazine pink coat, I had a great pink one in the sixties when the colors were phenomenal.  In the winter here, outside, people look really blaaaah......black, dark grey......

Thank you Adelina... I stand corrected... It's Marsala, not Merlot as the color I was referencing.   Woman Happy  Personally, I like the jewel tones for fall and winter.
