I have decided to NOT purchase any new clothing for awhile...I have plenty in my closet to "shop" from and heaven knows when we will be out and about wearing them again!! Instead, I am focusing on cleaning out clothes, cosmetics, toiletries, cupboards, etc.  and sprucing up my home.

I' embarrassed to say I have ordered some new things. Why I don't know, I think I've been a bit in denial. I follow the rules and stay home , but part of me  doesn't want to face it, so I shopped. I will wear the new things, but I sure didn't need them.

I've ordered a couple new tops.  I needed them last year, they have stains on them and showing signs of wear.  I was able to hold off until this year.  I could use a pair or two of crop pants too.

Because of the shelter at home state I have neither the need nor the desire for new clothing when I know that many others are struggling for food and will be for some time to come.

Just not feeling new clothes right now, regardless of how attractive or well priced.

I am sure that in time that will change, as I am sure this situation will.

@bargainsgirl   I think many of us find ourselves in your situation.  I've got things I bought 2 summers ago that I've never worn.  Doesn't look like we'll need much for this year either.  This huge wardrobe is causing me a lot of stress as it become unmanageable.

I bought 3 nice short sleeved knit tops for our upcoming two weeks vacation to Louisiana.  That's been cancelled indefinitely. I will wear them to church and maybe a date night or two.  Sooner or later.  My dh's birthday is 04/28 & I doubt that we will be able to go out then.

We started to do a self quarantine ourselves on 03/14.  Our 50th wedding anniversary.  We also decided to do a thorough spring cleaning job in the house from top to bottom (not ceilings). It was kind of a fun job with both of us helping each other out.  We did one area/room a day.  I don't like clutter, but we went room by room and decluttered everywhere.  My DH keeps saying  it's so nice to see what is in his closet at a glance & how nice and bright the whole house is.

It made the first two weeks go by quickly.  Now he is doing things outdoors and I am catching up with a few sewing projects that I have been putting off.

Since Friday night, I have made 3 cloth masks for him and two for me.  We are taking it seriously and are doing what we can to stay healthy.

I purchased a few new things before everything shut down. I prefer shopping in person, but I have ordered a few things since then mainly because I miss going out to shop. I already returned the tops I ordered - didn't like them on me. Still waiting for my blazer and jean/twill jackets to arrive. Lots of stores sending email discounts to encourage online shopping right now.

I have to admit I have too.  The prices are good and I know someday hopefully soon I will be able to wear them out.  It also is therapy and helps lift my spirits.Smiley Happy

I love shopping for bargains.  I've made recent purchases on the Lunchtime Specials, Talbots and Ebay.  They were all very inexpensive and will be worn once things are back to normal.  Other than these items, I'm laying low.
