They look like a Christmas edition of Pac Man.

Because of the geometric, it seems there is a message there that is more substantial than fibers are polyester.

I would have done a complete, cohesive flag somewhere.

Utterly confusing.

I think the Armani attire is nice.  I happen to like it.  Maybe the big circle in front is what's confusing many.  It was supposed to be symbolic gesture for both the host country and the visiting country (Italy).

I usually like this part of the Olympics.  I didn't see it in real time, maybe if a channel does a recap I can.  Better yet, the closing ceremony might be a good idea to watch for the different "flair" that the many countries brought to the event.

Team Tonga

Pita Taufatofua, right, of Team Tonga carries the flag with Malia Paseka as they lead their team out during the Opening Ceremony.

Probably because he is an American success story and our foremost clothing designer.

I think they look goofy, but who cares? The fact that the world is talking about means it was a huge success from a PR perspective (doesn't matter if it is negative talk - at all). For the US, I wish we would do something brave and innovative (consistent with our spirit) and select an unknown or up and coming designer every four years for our outfits. What a great message that would send! I love Ralph Lauren, but let's face it....he is "old school" now.

TH has a reputation for being an anti-semite.  Could be why he does not do the uniforms of the "great melting pot."
