I got a big laugh out of the Siriano 2 piece green outfit. The huge puffy skirt made me think IMMEDIATELY of Jiffy Pop popcorn that we used to fix as a kid!! LOL

I scratched my head on that one wondering if it was supposed to be like a bag @Love my grandkids .  A few years ago some designers came out with handbags in the oddest of shapes made from down coat material.  They were worn slung over the shoulder.

Designer MCM has a teddy bear handbag.  I don't know if it's supposed to be a crossbody or not.  LOL.

Love fashion week and the creativity of the designers. It's their opportunity to let their imagination run wild.   @gertrudecloset thanks for posting.  Now do I get the green or black Christian Siriano?  LOL  The fabrics and colors are beautiful and yes, wearable art.

Lol.  Lighten up?  I do laugh...at them, because in my eyes they are making fools of themselves.  

To be fair, not all of the designs are as far out as others.  

Fortunately, what these designers produce does not effect me in any way, but I can have an opinion on what they do. There's a difference. 

Yes, I do know only a select few graduate from design school.  Those who do graduate may never make it big, but doesn't that speak for many in other professions?  Just because they graduated from Parson's or Fashion Institute of Technology doesn't make them any more special to me than those who don't.  I look at what I think is talent.  

A few examples of those who did not attend that I think have or had exceptional talent.  

Georgio Armani did not attend fashion design school.  He attended college to become a physician.  He dropped out.  

Ralph Lauren did not attend design school.  He attended college majoring in business and also dropped out.  

Coco Chanel - Did not attend.
