New Pants Trend - Full Length - Trouser to Wide Leg

I HOPE QVC will adjust with the trends and offer full length pants that are not skinny leg or leggings.   That will be a start.

I have really enjoyed seeing women on tv wearing the pants and pant suits from the past.  They are always flattering.

Not on me they aren't, so I'll stick with my straight legs.

They're not for me, I look best in straight & narrow leg pants..ankle & crop lengths are my everyday go to.

Trouser and wide-leg pants/jeans look great on taller people. But for me, 5-3, they don't flatter my look at all. I prefer a slimmer silhouette, for instance a straight, a tapered or a legging.

I agree they do look good, however, the skinny leg will still be out there.  A number of ladies don't have any width in their thighs and need that really narrow pant.

Re: New Pants Trend - Full Length - Trouser to Wide Leg

@mizrich   I am not waiting for QVC offerings.  They seem to stick with the same clothing profiles longer than a lot of other vendors.

@depglass  I am glad there is such a wide variety of clothing available so that almost anyone can find the clothing silhouette they prefer.  Online shopping has aided that tremendously, as long as we understand sizes and the current "vanity" sizing.

Think many of us don't buy a lot of trends but stick with what we know/believe looks good on us, while picking up a little something trendy for fun and to see if it works for us.

I am very thin and "bird boned" and am 5 ft. 7 & 1/2 inches tall.  Flat chested, narrow shouldered, narrow-- defined--waist, non-generous hips, flat rear, long thin arms, long hands and fingers, and very narrow feet with long, skinny toes.

So of course I am thrilled with the return of natural and high waisted trousers, pleated or flat front, full or flared, cuffs or no cuffs and full length.  They help present me looking my best.

In late spring/early summer I noticed the new profile for slacks and trousers and kept my eyes open for these items on sale and started ordering from a variety of retailers.

So from Macy's, Nordstrom, Lands' End, Bealls, Belk, and Banana Republic I am all set with new suit sets and separates, a couple of dressier high waisted jeans, and some lovely blouses andd accessories to use with the newer purchases and to dress up my standard classic outfits.

Ladies--Have a happy weekend and I hope you have as much fun sleuthing out and purchasing your favorite pieces at great price points as I did.

Only full length, straight and narrow for me.  Pedal pushers and capris for summer casual.

To me, it is very refreshing to see pants sitting on the waist with a cute belt. Since this would call for tailoring, don't think QVC will spring it for.  Much cheaper to do elastic waist to span multiple sizes.

[ Edited ]

I only wear full length pants - just about any style - from wide to skinny.

NO KNITS!

There's never been a problem finding them - I have a closet full.

@ALRATIBA  I used to feel the same way about jeans until...I babysit a young neighbor little boy. I try to help her out. She is a young, cute, super creative young lady and always has on the cutest jeans that she has enhanced on her own. So one day she bought me a pair of jeans ( we are about the same size) that she purchased at a resale shop that she and her son personalizes for me! I was so touched and pointed out to me where he helped to distress them. I can say hands down they are my favorite jeans!  Don't wear them to business meetings but I do love them!
