PS. You are right.  The restaurant I mentioned is indeed "kaluz". My girlfriend from Ft. Lauderdale loves it.  Blue Moon used to be her favorite until this place came along.

I don't know why I can't get script larger. lol. ok, whatever.

@Pink123 Will have to check it out when we go down there again!  Thanks!

@Pink123 I'm so sorry to hear about your health issues.  I'm glad you're feeling much better now and have moved to a more peaceful area.  I believe where we live can affect our health along with many other environmental factors.  However some people thrive when among a lot of people.  I'm not one of them!  Sounds like you aren't either and I'm happy you love where you are now.

I love my part of PA.  I went recently with my brother to drive up to MA & then CT for a family issue.  Traffic is always terrible and a 5 hour drive took 7 hours.  It felt great to come back home to my bucolic area....

Thanks about my mom.  She passed in 2021 and we kept the condo for two years.  We felt it was time to finally sell but it's a bit slow right now....maybe because it's summer and it's an over 55 community?  If it doesn't sell soon I think it will by the fall.

When we went down in May we made sure to go to a few favorite restaurants.  We made it to Blue Moon Fish Co. on the water.  They have the best food, service and it's fun to watch the boats go by!  I'm never disappointed when I go there.  We did notice another interesting looking restuarant on the other side of the water and it might have been the one you mentioned.  We never got a chance to check it out though.

Anyway please keep your fingers crossed for me that the condo does sell soon!  It will be nice to unload that headache!

Nice "chatting" with you again! Smiley Happy

Your welcome @haddon9.  Well, what I know the two developments that are over 55 here are "kings point" or "Century Village".  If it's one of those two yes it will be a harder sell.  Is it in good condition?  Older people do not want to upgrade or make improvements.  That might be your problem.  They just don't want the hassle of doing so. i.e dust, noise, people, etc.  They want a "move in ready updated" place.  Have you done anything to it like put a coat of fresh off white paint and a  few things here or there?  It does make a difference to freshen it up.  But to answer your question yes, the over 55 community and it being the summer might be the problem. You will soon see. Maybe also get a new agent who can better guide you. Fresh eyes.

Yes your are so right and I'm sure you live in a lovely community in PA.  I am a loner as well, enjoy peace,  and so this is still very very nice it's quieter for me. Oh they are fancy pants up here though too I tell you. It's Palm Beach.  But that's just fine. Plus I'm so happy to be in a house. We have dinner outside on the water when I cook which is once a week, ha. It is lovely though.  No condo noise, cooking smell's, cigars, etc. entering the apartment no matter how expensive it is.  My BF is a Bostonian, born and bred.  We are going up in September for a family visit.

Ok, my fingers are crossed and you will unload that condo soon!

Smiley Happy

@Pink123 Yes it's Kings Point and my parents were original owners.  Mom was a child of The Depression and didn't beleive in spending money on herself and fixing up the place.  It really drove me crazy since she could have done so much.  Anyway she did make a few improvements and we hired a painter to give the place a fresh coat of paint throughout.

When looking at some of the units for sale online you can see how some look beautiful, fully upgraded and move in ready, while others need a lot of work.  Ours is in between.

I'm hoping that someone will see it as an opportunity to add their touch to it.  Or maybe a snowbird will want to buy a unit before winter to fix up but not have to live in the mess.

It's only been a few weeks but so different from my home community.  We get letters every few weeks from strangers trying to buy into the neighborhood!  Very little is up for sale. Home prices are higher than ever but I like where I am and I'm staying for as long as I can!

It's sounds lovely to sit outside while overlooking the water!  Enjoy the home! Smiley Happy

Yep @haddon9  I had a feeling.  My Mom and step died within of a year of each other in 2021 ans 2022.  I was too sick to handle any of it.  They were in the Villages.

Long story short, he had to clean everything out (my mom had OCD and was a clean freak) but while getting dementia it all went to heck.  My brother is in the area and had to do everything,  money, files, etc.  He hired a guy and put up new paint, cleaned up the whole pool area and put down new "cheap" carpeting to make it look good and it did. He took down their drapes, everything.  The realtor "staged" the place and it sold within 5 days, but that's the villages,  fla.  If they had carpeting it's worth it to put in a new inexpensive new carpet.  My brother got a good price for the place too.  They didn't have tile in the kitchen but a wood type and it was very nice.  But the carpets were a mess after health care. Oy, that's the way it goes.

@Pink123 I'm sorry to hear about your mom & step dad's passing.  It's  good that your brother was nearby to get it ready to sell.    My brother lives far also so we are both doing this long distance.

Fortunately there is no carpeting.  My mother had put in a laminated wood look in all the areas that didn't have tile. So that helps.

I just have to be patient! Smiley Happy. Im sure it will sell soon.

It will @haddon9  just wait a few more months for season to start.  I'm sure it will be a cash deal. The older people always pay cash.  I would not worry about it.  There is not many over 55's in South Florida.  Very very few. So you have a gem just waiting for the right person.

Ps.  that's good, I like the laminated wood idea. It looks nice and clean.  My girlfriend had a friend who lived at King's and she had a lovely upgraded unit.  They passed on as well and it sold rather quickly.

I finally got to get a copy of the gucci "memorable" belt.  It's not big. You can see the workmanship on it which is lovely.

All my belt's are no more than 1.5" in width as this one is too.

Here's picture and not on me which is better.  I do not like large belt's on women, but that's me.

By thre way Gucci belts  are unisex so look at both men and women.  same thing.  sometimes you find better on men's.

I think @chrystaltree  you liked this one. sorry if I'm wrong.
