Thanks for posting. I have my mom’s winter coats to donate. If my city doesn’t have a coat drive, I will bring them to J Crew.

They are having a winter coat drive at my church ... they are particularly looking for children's winter coats and scarves.

A local church has a "free store".  I have taken items and coats there.  Everything is free to anyone; hopefully, those woo use the store are in need and others do not take advantage.  Also the family service agency has a coat rack in the lobby.  You can drop off coats there.  Everyone who comes in there is someone who does have a need.
