J Crew had some neoprene items this summer. To me, they felt like they would be really hot and not breathable. I tried a skirt and also thought the stretch was weird.

Neoprene is one of the hottest fabrics you can buy. It's often used as a covering for achey joints where therapeutic heat is needed. I can't imagine wearing it.

This neoprene is 95% poly/5% span. Probably more to do with the weave of the fabric. From the close up of the dress, a real tightly woven fabric. Several designers on Project Runway have used it this season, but I wasn't aware there was a polyester version. Now it makes more sense.

Well, I have to admit when I saw that information in the title for the dress, I immediately thought diving gear. I think I'll wait for the reviews before I try it for myself. I am trying to be more careful of what clothing I buy anyway.
